We recently connected with Deonna O’Neal and have shared our conversation below.
Deonna , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today One of the most important things small businesses can do, in our view, is to serve underserved communities that are ignored by giant corporations who often are just creating mass-market, one-size-fits-all solutions. Talk to us about how you serve an underserved community.
“Small business is the fruit of our economy. ”
A quote that rings the ears of so many proprietors but holds no weight. How do you remember a small mom-and-pop shop when you are looking for something no one else can find? Something so unique that it’s difficult to match?
It’s typically from word-of-mouth marketing in your city or town. That’s because the average local business lacks the funding to build a standing budget for things such as marketing with no immediate return. That’s where Simply Daisey Media and Branding steps in.
Small business and local resources are how so many of our clients win. We assist in the development of the client’s community resources and utilize the strengths to impact the client and their communities outward.
There is a story that is told about the community that engages a larger positive outcome when we work as a unit. From aspiring photographers, to start-up influencers and brands – utilizing these local resources assist in developing a structure for the community to have a brand devoted to the local economy.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Being a strong part of our community and teaching others why branding and marketing are important for their businesses is what we believe strengthens our reputation daily. We work with a lot of local businesses and brands and love the feeling it gives to see our community thriving. Huntsville is a thriving city with an amazing small/local business base and they deserve to be heard.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Simply Daisey Media and Branding strives and survives on one thing…being resourceful! As a marketing business that works heavily in digital spaces, there are so many businesses marketing by posting on social media and that’s it, and honestly to make it a bit more difficult the business owner, a lot of times, lacks the knowledge to spread the word past their followers on their pages. We maximize those efforts by reaching out to a lot of clients through their advertisements online. Simply “sliding in the DMs” can allow you to give an honest and genuine opinion, get the same type of response, as well as lock in a client that trusts you.
