We recently connected with Dennis Sanders and have shared our conversation below.
Dennis, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
I take risks by putting myself out there. Sharing my words and life experiences by writing what I know. My vulnerability. My compositions. Music etc

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Lack of supervision and attention, I found myself acting out. Causing trouble and rebelling. Typical things like that. Until I learned how to play guitar. I was young and impressionable. I was obsessed. After spending much of my time playing in other peoples projects I decided to start my own and I haven’t stopped since.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
Most people are terrified of public humiliation. I am not. I don’t care as long as I am doing what I want in terms of creating and performing.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Pay us better.
