Dennis, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
The legacy I hope to build is something that will always be relevant in music / hip hop culture. The first in my family to achieve financial freedom & success with the team I’ve built & people I surround myself with. Being remembered for the influence in music & my brand in the city I’m from.
Dennis, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Born & raised from NYC my family was always heavy into music & the hip hop culture. Over the years I became a fan myself eventually ending up in south Florida at 16 where I started making music. By the age of 19 I was attending underground events, concerts & festivals going by the alias Kiing Rose. My first project was released at the age of 20 & I took the next 3 years to understand the industry & business.. Now at 24 with my foot in the door as an artist & photographer (99kronicles), I’ve grown & built a team of diverse creatives known as Our World Now from the music, media & fashion industry. Hosting events, camps, studio sessions, fashion shows, covering production & more. The consistency & networking is what got me in such a position along with the people I’ve met along the way.
Any advice for managing a team?
Everyone has a role that needs to be played. But the players need to understand what their role is & the importance of it. When networking take into consideration that the people you meet may benefit someone else on the team not just you.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Simple networking in places that are relevant to the brand. Social media is to keep people in the loop & showcase but meeting face to face you are the physical representation of the brand.
