Hi Denitris, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I started writing poetry when I was a teen throughout my adulthood. My grandmothers passing put me in a dark place. I stopped writing and completely shut down. I became distant from everyone and everything. Years passed and I made a choice to either start writing again or stay in this dark place. I made the ultimate life-changing decision to write again. I reconnected with poetry, God, church family and friends. Writing poetry again has been a healing journey that has led me to being set free from my past life situations, hurts, pains, and experiences, which weighed me down for so many years. It’s my life desire and passion to continue to write from my heart and offer my Poetry Consultant Service. I will write a poem based on your need. Contact me with your poetry needs. We will work together to provide the poem that expresses your heart.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Three things you don’t know about me, I am strongly focused, self disciplined, and persistent, I demonstrate these qualities in my personal and professional life. When I am in the writing zone, I am not easily distracted. I always write from my heart. The heart is one’s true self expression. I will write a poem for you based on your need.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I never gave up on writing poetry but I stopped writing poetry due to my grandmothers deaths. I completely shut down. Years later, I was able to make a decision to get up or stay down. I chose to get up and refocus and reconnect with writing poetry again. It was a turning point for me. I never looked back. I am moving forward.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
It’s okay not to be okay. Once I made the decision to write poetry again, I poured my inner true self onto paper. The process was scary, uncomfortable, painful, and tearful at times. I pushed myself through it. I was no longer weighed down by the weights of my true inner self.
