Alright, Denise thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
I first discovered Body Sculpting after a workout class when another girl shared her results with me. She was thrilled with her new look after the treatment, and I was unaware that such options were available. A few years later, I stumbled upon a small beauty spa offering these services. I scheduled a few sessions and was impressed with the results. These treatments have not only boosted my confidence but have also aided in maintaining consistency with my diet and exercise routine. I discovered several training programs that instruct on how to administer these treatments to others and how to establish a small business centered on these services.
I signed up for several training programs to gain as much knowledge about the various noninvasive treatments and their advantages. The understanding that I could offer services that not only enhance people’s self-esteem but also promote a healthy lifestyle greatly inspired me to pursue as much learning as possible. My focus was on comprehending the treatments as well as the fundamentals of establishing, operating, and sustaining a small business that provides these services..
During the summer, I dedicated my time to creating my business name, branding, establishing my LLC, setting up social media accounts, and securing business insurance. I made sure to invest in top-quality products, machines, and tools for seamless operations. Initially, I intended to provide mobile services, but that idea quickly fell through. Instead, I researched renting a small beauty suite where I could offer my services. I was fortunate to find a location just around the corner from my home at an unbeatable price. Once I secured this space, I knew it would give my business a more established and inviting feel.

Upkeep Living was born out of my personal journey. The confidence I gained from various treatments, coupled with my passion for maintaining healthy habits, a consistent exercise routine, and a strong commitment to my well-being, inspired me to create a platform to share this journey with as many people as possible.
My mission is to empower individuals to become their best selves, both inside and out, through non-invasive body and facial sculpting treatments. Our holistic approach focuses on the care of the entire body while offering services that enhance appearance and promote overall wellness.
I am committed to providing personalized care and a holistic approach to wellness. We also facilitate referrals to holistic practitioners for services like food allergy testing and blood work. Our emphasis is on encouraging meaningful lifestyle changes that foster long-term well-being, rather than simply cosmetic enhancements.
One of my proudest achievements is witnessing the transformative results in my clients—whether it’s the newfound confidence from sculpting treatments or the joy of seeing their bodies reflect the hard work they’ve put in.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Social media has proven to be my most effective channel for attracting clients. Creating content that showcases customer results alongside informative pieces about the services I offer, combined with utilizing advertising features, has been incredibly beneficial.

I once heard a story about someone who earned a significant amount of money in her first week, and that remark truly inspired me. However, I soon realized that not everyone can attract that many clients right away. My initial treatments were offered for free, as I believed that once my website was fully set up, bookings would follow. But that didn’t happen. I thought that once my business was officially registered as an LLC, customers would come. Still nothing. I expected that after securing my business insurance, someone would finally book a service. Then I hoped that acquiring a new machine would lead to more clients. I thought that once I secured my suite rental, customers would pour in. I kept thinking that after completing various tasks, I would see results. However, that was not the reality. Each client arrived at different stages of my journey. When I wasn’t getting bookings immediately, I began to doubt whether this would work. Yet, once I released that fear and reminded myself that I was still in the early stages, it motivated me to keep pushing forward.
