We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Denise Eimerman. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Denise below.
Denise, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
When people think of getting a massage they think it is a luxury, something you do to relax and relieve your stress. What many people don’t realize is that there are many benefits to massage therapy and it can help relieve pain everything from head to toe, including migraines to sciatica to plantar fasciitis . While most people seek out a massage therapist because they are stressed out, our clients seek us out because they have been living with chronic pain or recovering from an injury or a surgery. To help our clients with their chronic pain we offer therapeutic pain relief massages. We want our clients feeling their best so they can get back to doing the things they love. We don’t want our clients living with their chronic pain.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
While many people feel they find their true calling, I feel massage therapy found me. The second I walked into the office at Cortiva School of Massage Therapy in Illinois not only did I know that I was going to start their program, I knew I was going to work for myself and help the community with their chronic pain. During my first job as a massage therapist at Massage Envy I knew I didn’t want to work in the spa environment. I felt there was so much more to being a massage therapist. Within 6 months I changed the focus of my massages to a medical/therapeutic approach. I was known for my trigger point therapy and my medi-cupping services. 6 years later I still offer this service and will also be offering lymphatic drainage massages in December 2022 which will help clients who are recovering from a surgery. One things that sets me apart from everyone else is that I offer great customer service and communicates well with my clients. From the first time clients call or enter our establishment I set expectations for both myself and clients. Because I do this, I build a great relationship with my clients.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
After I graduated from massage school and started working for myself, I did everything I could to get clients, went to networking events, joined chamber of commerce, talked to everyone I knew. However I still struggled to get people who would seek me out for my services. One day I was on facebook and I thought I would try using facebook to market my businesses to potential clients. Within 5 days I had 10 people who were looking for a massage therapist and booked with me. Within 2 months not only did I build a facebook presence but my clients were tagging their friends/family/everyone they know who were seeking out a massage therapist. When this happened I hired someone to build my website, this way I could direct people to my website for them to look over my services and book their appointments. As a new business owner the best thing you can do for your business is to have a facebook page/instagram and a website. Even if you feel you won’t need it, believe me you will need it. Find a local web designer that can target your ideal client base.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with clients several ways. I communicate with clients through my social media channels including facebook and instagram. I also send out weekly emails to my clients with my open availability for the next week or anything new and exciting coming up in my business. If I haven’t heard from a client in a while I send them an email/text/ or even a phone call to make sure they are ok. I am really big on communicating with my clients so I want to make sure nothing is wrong or anything I need to be concerned about. By doing this I have built solid relationships with my clients.
