We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Deniise a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Deniise, thanks for joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

My mother , Whom is my ROCK ! Has always done everything right ,Even as a child When I thought she was so mean (lol sorry Mommy) she was doing Everything right, My mother instilled in me , Love, Patience, Honesty, Morals, & Faith. My mom Lana, has had and Stull have the biggest impact of my life, She’s really my Idol & Go hard for her, She brought me up in the kitchen showing me all kinds of techniques & lessons that as a child I didn’t think were beneficial in my life! I owe it all to all , I’m thankful to Jehovah God for blessing me with my Mom She’s truly my best friend & My earth angel

Whew! Lol how could I sum This up , Well my business, I just do it all, I’m a makeup Artist, Culinary & Pastry Chef 👩‍🍳! & Now have taking a bite out of the Event Planning World. I’m definitely proud of all my work, It’s like being a mother , you birth all your kids so you can’t just be proud of one you are proud of them all so I can’t just pick one . My brand is different because of the art & creativity I have . Though I do applaud everyone in all these industries keep trying, keep going & keep it real ! Don’t Be Afraid to take a “L” everything ain’t pretty but like I said FAITH FIRST! FAMILY SECOND & Everything else is Just Everything….

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

Social media lol. I’m not a fan of social media , it has its pros & Cons , But I have learned that Your content can strictly be business content and make great sales if you apply pressure and ONLY business content. Social media has helped my business alot, branding & meeting more individuals, Potential customers, & Customers

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Hashtags! Use those Hashtags! Do not be afraid to tag, Research and reach out to other individuals that is in the same industry.
