Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Demonte Puma. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Demonte , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you have any advice regarding quality control and maintaining quality as your brand grows?

They say consistency is key right?! Well how exactly do you stay consistent, when everything around you is constantly changing? First, in order to understand that you must understand what it means to be consistent. The true essence of that is in fact quality, so when I think about quality of my music or visuals or graphics, I think about why I started doing this in the first place, why I decided to put everything I head into my crashed into a hobby that turn into a passion that turned it to your career as well. I don’t tend to follow trends I’d rather set them I don’t do the same rhyme patterns as everyone else I’d rather have my own cadences and stay original. I don’t follow the trends of the music videos. I’d rather keep mine, logical and stay in the context of the song versus being flashy. I actually set out to release 12 albums this year and I am in the process of releasing my third one but even in doing that I’m staying away from being repetitive copying the same lines over and over and recycling topics. I want to prove that I won’t just stay consistent, but I will Continue to put out quality work as well as so people can enjoy it on multiple levels and that you can’t out work me because I am in fact a workaholic.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

First and foremost, I am an artist, but over the years, I have become an engineer, a graphic designer, and executive producer, Director, mentor and so much more. Aside from chasing my own dreams, I’ve helped thousands of aspiring Artists, graphic designers and so much more follow their own dreams, and that in itself is so much more rewarding to any monetary value that I could’ve obtained for any service that I could’ve provided. When I think about it, I feel like that’s what it’s about and that it’s not just about what you can do for yourself, but what you can do for the people that you never thought that you would ever have an encounter with, the people that you never thought you would cross paths with, because you don’t come from the same background or you’re not on the same side of town. To inspire and motivate those who couldn’t inspire themselves is so much more better than having a bunch of gold chains and fast cars, because those are just things but the impact that you make on these people in the imprint that you makes this journey that we call “life” worth it.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is that I can be my 1000% authentic self and not feel judged. I can be vulnerable on a microphone and it doesn’t use anything I say against me. I feel like that’s priceless.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

On January 17, 2023 around 3:30 in the morning I was in the near fatal car accident on I 85 south coming into Greensboro North Carolina. My car had flipped numerous times as well as spun out of control while crashing into the middle barricades multiple times, and in a moment where most people would lay down and die and except what they may have felt was their fate I chose to live. I chose to get out the car and rushed to the side of the highway and live, even though the paramedics police and fire department all agreed that I shouldn’t of even made it out of the car I chose to leave because I was nowhere near done with my mission.
