Demione, appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

One of life’s most challenging obstacles can be the end of a meaningful relationship. Particularly, separation or divorce raises a person’s chance for unpleasant psychological symptoms. I lost my wife, my career, my children, and my way of life. This gap compelled me to seek God’s presence, who led me to my music. Since music was the one thing I could control at the time, I risked everything for it. Against all odds, I was almost immediately able to connect with a group of friends who were able to guide me through what I needed to know about the music industry. Before I realized its effects, music served as my true treatment.

Years later, millions of people have listened to my music across numerous platforms, and I have a sizable social media following. The day my heart was broken was the beginning of it all. I don’t want to say it sarcastically, but I must thank my ex-wife for my success. Maybe things might have turned out differently if I had maintained my passion for music throughout my marriage. I am grateful for my current situation and, given the choice, would not change a thing.

Demione, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Rapper and graphic designer Harry “Demione” Louis is of Haitian and American descent. As part of his creative process, he creates all of the album art for his musical releases. Demione’s musical journey begins in the church, the place where most Black music is created. The majority of his work up to this point has been influenced by actual life events, the result of poverty, and having to lead a thousand different lives in order to survive.

How did you build your audience on social media?

It’s normal to desire to expand quickly and gain a large following as soon as your company’s social media profiles go live. Although valuable, the attention is difficult to gain rapidly. It took me some time to discover that your biggest adjustments are patience, strategy, budget, engagement, and consistency.

You should evaluate your results after spending some time fostering your social media presence to see what is working well and what you can do better moving forward. reach, engagement, and conversion are the three major categories for analysis. Reach is the number of individuals that view your posts, whereas engagement is the level of engagement. Conversion gauges how frequently audience behavior, like newsletter subscriptions or purchases, results from your social network posts.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

You know how your favorite song may make you think of something good and make you smile? In the same way, music is recoded. If you didn’t know, dopamine is a type of joyful chemical that occurs naturally and is given to us as a reward in our reward system. Sharing happiness is one of the most rewarding components of writing music.
