We recently connected with Delivering Light and have shared our conversation below.

Delivering , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

Delivering light is a passion project whose inception was felt by the reggae music producer Alex Cirilo (aka Orbita Muzic) who has worked with many reggae artists, in a secular environment. “The desire and motivation to make Christian music was always present in me”, said Cirilo. Joining together with the singer-songwriter Germán Benítez made perfect sense given his background, talent, and shared vision. They decided to join forces and embark on a journey to create something with a very clear intention in mind.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?

The Christian reggae duo, Delivering Light releases its first song that bears the same name as the project. “Delivering light” brings a mix of reggae, rock and electronic music, the musical influences that both members bring. “I have produced songs for great artists, but I had never produced a song for God” comments Alex Cirilo who also comments “we want to leave our mark and do our part musically during these difficult times that we are all collectively living”. Germán, who also comes from a very extensive musical background ranging from Ska, Reggae and Rock, says he “feels good with the project and the natural way the songs have been coming out”. “We share a message full of hope and relief in our songs” comments Benítez, who also told us that the complete 10-track album will be out by the end of 2023.  The new track is available on all digital platforms and the video is available on our YouTube channel.

Soon we will be releasing their 2nd single, and video titled Mt. Zion (featuring Jahricio) which promises to bring many musical fusions along with reggae.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

Our vision and mission are clear. It is to take a hopeful message to as many hearts, people, and places as possible. To give hope to those that might be needing it, and to reach those that are looking for light.

“When the project commenced, I clearly remember and will never forget. Benitez said prepare for all the obstacles that we will face on this journey”. And he was right. We faced as a society the pandemic, health issues, financial struggles and despite all of it, we continued and became stronger.
