Alright, Delisha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

My mission statement for my company is “To help cultivate entertainment from all sides such as business, music, service, non-profit and management. We strive to make every client feel valued, connecting them to the right tools to help them succeed. Being a small town girl from Gadsden,Alabama , my city and my state don’t offer the right fundamentals tools for businesses or entrepreneurs to be successful. My company goal and mission to educate, to be aware , and be open to all positive criticism. Starting a Public Relations company in Alabama I wanted to break the mold of what a PR can offer in business and music. Its important to me to help educate and cultivate these entrepreneurs on business aspects and on a professional level.

Delisha Ledford is a published freelance writer, creative director, and public relations professional. She has been professionally in the industry since 2011. Delisha’s work can be seen in a national publications such as Femi Magazine and Enspire Magazine print and online. She is the creator of Dluxe PR. Delisha combines her wit for marketing and networking together to create multiple platforms to enhance the millennial entrepreneur. Ultimately, her brand and events have attracted celebrities, influencers and millennial entrepreneurs worldwide. Delisha runs a PR company in Alabama which has the opportunity of working with artists like Yolanda Adams, KeKe Wyatt, Renni Rucci, Big Boi ( OutKast) just to name a few. She has and currently working national awards shows such as Emmys, Grammys, Soul Train Awards and BET awards. Delisha is the south eastern rep for Billboard Buzzing. Her PR company DLuxe PR offers a vast variety of services such as consultations, press releases, photoshoots, blog placement, management and event planning. The one thing that Delisha is proud of is going against grain and proving that despite you come from a small town in Alabama you can do anything you want just trust yourself and the process

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

Running your own business isn’t for the weak. Knowing what needs to be put in your business to make a profit. Social media is one essential way of gaining new clients and with that I have to have the right outfit, hair , makeup, photographer, videographer. Credit is key in the game. When you have good personal credit with that you are your building the business credit into the position to prosper. Ads are essential and the money you spend on those ads will come back to you in the form of a new client or consultation.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

Generational Wealth and Education for my family. from a small town and being a proud Black woman i want to teach my daughter about credit, checks and balances, stock market and international currency. I want to teach that anything is possible and everything is a lesson to have a better life. My goal is simple to expand my mind and resources for my future to use.
