We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Delfina Lazzaro. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Delfina below.
Delfina, appreciate you joining us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
At 18, I began my career at an Advertising Agency in Argentina, and it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the field. I made a bold decision to leave law school behind and pursue a degree in Social Communication instead. Over the years, I worked with various agencies and businesses, honing my skills and gaining invaluable experience. By the time I turned 30, I felt it was the right moment to take a leap and build something of my own—a Marketing Boutique Agency that reflected my passion and dedication.
Throughout my career, I consistently found myself going the extra mile, putting in that little bit of extra work to elevate everything I did. One day, I realized: why not channel that same energy into my own brand and business? And so, in 2020, I launched Koffie Agency. Just as I was getting started, the world was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. While it was a challenging time for many, the lockdowns actually provided me with an unexpected gift: the time and space to focus on my vision, build my brand, and establish a digital presence.
Despite the global uncertainty, I was able to connect with clients not just in Argentina, but across the world. For a business like ours, focused on social and digital marketing, COVID marked a turning point—people began to embrace the idea of working remotely and trusting partners from other countries or regions. It was a “before and after” moment for the industry, and it allowed Koffie Agency to grow in ways I hadn’t imagined.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m 34 years old and currently living in Miami, FL, where I moved almost four years ago after founding KOFFIE AGENCY in Argentina. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we grew rapidly and expanded our reach.
KOFFIE AGENCY is a boutique marketing agency specializing in Content Creation, Public Relations, Influencer Strategy, Social Media, and Events. In just four years, we’ve had the privilege of working with incredible brands like Formula 1, Faena Group, Cdimex Group, and L’Oréal, among others.
My vision for KOFFIE is to scale the personalized, boutique approach we offer while maintaining a global focus. From my experience in the industry, I’ve seen how larger agencies often lose personal touch with clients, leading to diminished results. At KOFFIE, my goal is to build a team that works synergistically with me, each contributing their expertise and focus. While I’m deeply involved in every project, I don’t just sign deals and disappear—I stay engaged, ensuring that our client’s goals, needs, and expectations are met at every step.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I believe entrepreneurship isn’t for everyone—it requires resilience, a trait that you must either possess or develop along the way. For me, whenever a new challenge arises, I reflect on past experiences where I faced difficulties. I remind myself to stay calm and understand that, just like the good times, the tough moments will eventually pass.
The entrepreneurial journey is full of ups and downs, and that’s why I’m always working on both myself and the vision I truly believe in. To succeed, you have to love what you do, because being an entrepreneur means dedicating yourself to it every day. The path isn’t easy, but I firmly believe that nothing worth achieving ever is.
Growing the business, building and managing a team, and keeping clients happy—ultimately, it all falls on you. Over time, you learn to rest, not as an escape, but as a strategy for sustainability. You learn to balance your mind, your energy, and your time, because that balance is key to moving forward without burning out.

Any advice for managing a team?
For me, building a strong, cohesive team is essential—a team where collaboration flows naturally, each member takes ownership of their responsibilities, but is also aware of and supports the work of their colleagues. I enjoy working with passionate, self-driven, and independent people.
I have both remote and in-house teams, and I expect the same level of commitment from both: working towards objectives, not clocking in “work hours.” This is also how I measure success and performance.
I believe the traditional 9-to-5 work model is outdated. Today, it’s about managing time and responsibilities, not just adhering to a schedule. This approach not only eliminates the need for micromanagement, but it also empowers people to take ownership of their work and balance their professional and personal lives—especially in fast-paced industries like Marketing and Advertising, where things can get chaotic and campaigns often feel like a race against time.
I also value and respect my team’s personal time. I don’t encourage after-hours work unless absolutely necessary. This is something I’ve learned from my own experience as an employee, and I try to apply it in managing my team’s work-life balance.
That said, while I am demanding and particular about the quality of work, I also aim to protect my team from unnecessary stress or burnout by ensuring that the focus remains on what truly matters. My goal is to keep the energy directed toward productive, meaningful work, not on distractions that drain both time and motivation.
