We were lucky to catch up with Delaine Richards recently and have shared our conversation below.

Delaine , appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

Rodney and Delaine Richards have been working with talent for over 16 years starting with their very own child. At D & R Management, we empower you to be the best you can be. We work with models, actor/actress, singers and dancers. We have cast young adults in several mini series VEEP on HBO, Nightmare next door, Who the Bleep Did I Marry, Evil Twin, Deadly Affairs, House of Horror, Empire on Fox and Gotham, Tulsa King, Found 2, Zatima, All the Queens men, Mayor of Kingston, Cobra Kai, Reasonable Doubt, Fight Night, Will Trent, Stranger Things just to name a few. We have done commercials for Education First, Doritos, Bridal layouts, Tourism and Resorts. Our singers have auditioned at America’s Got Talent, Voice, American Idol and the Apollo. Our models have worked in several Fashion weeks (New York, Philadephia, Baltimore, DC. Coastal), Bridal shows and promotional modeling for companies like GEICO. We also work within the pageant community.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

Everything use to be hardcopy and suddenly we had to adjust to everything electronic. We had to interview for an automated system, then purchase to input all our talent. It was alot of trial and error during this time but we never gave up.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

My business partner is my husband of 30 years.
