Del, appreciate you joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
My first name is Del and I thought it’d be fun to combine my first name with Charcuterie. So I came up with DelChuterie.

My professional background was in sales, with extensive experience in the mortgage industry. After facing burnout from the industry’s volatility, I made the decision to start my own business in August 2022. Hosting has always been a passion of mine, and I’ve enjoyed organizing events for friends and family for as long as I can remember. Personally, I have a strong affinity for finger foods and appetizers, which sparked my love for charcuterie. Prior to launching my business, I had the opportunity to plan and host numerous baby showers, bridal showers, and holiday parties. Transitioning from the corporate world to running my own business felt like a natural and exciting next step.
I provide a range of services centered around customized charcuterie boards and grazing tables. My offerings include:
Custom Charcuterie Boards: I create beautifully crafted boards featuring a variety of cheeses, meats, fruits, nuts, and accompaniments, tailored to suit any occasion or dietary preference.
Design: I specialize in curating unique event experiences, from baby showers and bridal showers to corporate gatherings and holiday parties. I focus on creating a cohesive theme, ensuring every detail of the food aligns with the client’s vision.
Charcuterie Workshops & Tastings: For those interested in learning the art of creating their own charcuterie boards, I offer hands-on workshops where clients can develop their skills while enjoying a guided tasting experience.
Catering for Events: I provide catering services for small and large events, offering a range of finger foods, appetizers, sandwiches mouthwatering meatballs and charcuterie-based menus that allow guests to enjoy high-quality, stylish food presentations.

Starting a business from the ground up is undoubtedly accompanied by moments of insecurity and doubt, which I face on a daily basis. As a solo entrepreneur, I am responsible for every aspect of the business, from marketing and building connections to managing the day to day and serving as the creative force behind the boards. Despite these challenges, I remain committed to pushing through and driving the business forward.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I started from the ground up, building my social media presence organically through consistent activity on both Instagram and Facebook. To drive traffic to my social platforms, I included a QR code on my business cards that links directly to my Instagram profile. Additionally, I display the same QR code at my events to encourage attendees to engage with my social media and help increase visibility.
