Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dejah Hector. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Dejah thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I knew from a younger age I wanted to be a dancer, I just didn’t know it was achievable. When I was a kid, I would listen to a lot of christian hip hop and create dances in my room. From there I made It a goal to dance for the artist I grew up listening to. I wanted to be able to mix my faith with my creative path. Fast forward to now, I own a dance business and dance for some of those christian artist I grew up listening to!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When I got started with my company, I was working as a manager over two stores. I would do a full shift at that job and at night work on my business. It was extremely hard to juggle the both, especially when my management job was paying way more at the time. I continue to pull all nighters and stayed true to my personal goal. I always told myself if I can give 110 percent to a job I don’t own , I can do it to my company as well.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My main goal is to promote hip hop dancing and Christianity in a positive light.
