Deirde, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

My mother did right by teaching me survival although we shouldn’t be living to survive unfortunately that was the case for us when my parents divorced. I have a lot of my moms characteristics of “I’ll figure it out” or “I’ll get it the best way I know” instilled in me that I’ll forever cherish and use as a tool when it comes to entrepreneurship. I’ve been taught to not always depend on one because over time that comes with disappointment, which I’ve had to remind myself of often here lately when it comes to my brand to stop expecting what I think I need at that moment and understand that at that moment things may not be going “as planned” and in the end it’ll all work out. My mothers courage to stand tall with her head held high even in her toughest moments is the very reason why this brick can’t be broken and legacy will be built. My dad has always been driven to do and want more with that drive came a successful trucking business and with each affirmation being met the passion shows in the growth, although never teaching or guiding me in the path of entrepreneurship I definitely can’t deny his traits of wanting to build longevity.

Deirde, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Part time entrepreneurship came January 2018 I launched a cosmetic line BellaAuNatural while still working a full time job I spoke for so many years about wanting my own and I finally took the steps to begin building a brand. I learned a lot about the makeup industry but ultimately I felt like it wasn’t in alignment with me and during that time I felt it was best to take a hiatus, while doing so I began making my own facial exfoliates because I was transitioning away from chemical based skincare products, out of town family became interested and as I was sending them product and receiving positive feedback I realized the difference I was making in their skin life I knew I had to elevate my craft and the rest is history. My name is Deirde and I’m the owner of Aura Aesthetics, launched in June 2020 during the Covid pandemic I’ve been healing skin ever since, from severe acne prone skin to hyperpigmentation you name it I’ve healed it. Hand making hot pressed turmeric soaps and brewing womb healing yoni oils every product contains organic based ingredients because that’s the lifestyle my skin was heading towards so it was only right for my customers to begin their own organic skincare journey as well. With wanting to extend my expertise Aura Aesthetics now has a sister-wife brand Aura AfterKare providing luxury after care products to businesses that offer self care services such as lash technicians, estheticians etc. The purpose of Aura AfterKare is to help business owners elevate their brand by adding luxury AfterKare products to help maintain that customers service provided to them such as lash AfterKare kits included with lash maintenance products and tools to assist in extending your lash wear. What sets us apart is the authenticity of each brand the message and intent behind them, I want all returning and new customers to know when shopping my brands prepare to build a lifelong partnership and always expect nothing but top tier services.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Consistency and transparency I feel are the two main characteristics that have built my reputation within this market, showing results from real customers and always receiving positive feedback has always left my customers wanting more and with them wanting more came with recommendations and lifelong partnerships. Being open with what goes on behind the scenes and presenting my audience with trustworthy content and having top tier customer service will always be the blueprint of my reputation for Aura Aesthetics.
