We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dee Khasandi a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Dee, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I am hoping to have a legacy built around dreaming big and changing the world for the better. A legacy that will leave a positive impact on those around me and beyond.
I think people will say that I lived life to the fullest. That I am a go-getter. It is my wish they say that I was courageous enough to have done things that made me happy and conquered the biggest enemy to man, fear.
I hope to be remembered for my big heart, fun personality, creative mind, and sense of humor.

Dee, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Dee Khasandi, a digital content creator, fashion enthusiast and author. I got into these disciplines simply for my love of them and the admiration for people who are into them. I create fashion content for social media for myself and help others do the same. Aspiring content creators or micro-influencers are sometimes lost or confused on how to start or even pick up their momentum. That’s where I come in. I provide tips on how to create high quality content, have an engaging audience, as well as fashion styling tips. I am hoping to create multiple studios specifically catered to creators in the coming future.
I am most proud of the ability of my brand to take off in spaces I never imagined. I am going to base my business internationally as well. I would love for potential clients to also know that part of the payments I get from them goes into charity and helping the less fortunate. I have managed to provide sanitary towels for girls and women in struggling communities who are unable to afford this basic necessity. My brand helps make a difference, and I am proud of that.

Have you ever had to pivot?
When I first started my business, I had a friend partner up with me. Long story short, we had more differing thoughts and visions for the business than unifying ones. It particularly became more frustrating than fun to work together. With good judgement, I decided to venture out on my own. This meant that I had to sit down and recreate everything on my own. I changed the business name and cheers’d to myself for new beginnings, but with the same vision. My business is now known as “The Grand Ritz.”

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Networking has been the best strategy for me. Coupled with my extroverted personality, I am able to have productive conversations with those I meet who may show interest. I am also trying to increase my digital space by showcasing my work and clients I work with.
