Dee, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Who is your hero and why? What lessons have you learned from them and how have they influenced your journey?
Pastor Joseph L Williams, would be my hero,my mentor and just an overall man of GOD who has held my attention since I first met him,He has taught me and layed out a map so that i shall never be lost.He held my hand when direction was blurry.Pastor Joe is the reason I can say I’m a Certified Personal Trainer, his words of encouragement led me back to school to obtain such, and continue on to speak about his greatness in my life he is the story behind my weight loss journey(40 Day Turnup)a platform that has helped thousands to accomplish the impossible. But Pastor Joe is has made me become more confident in my role as a black business owner.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Bodytrainer4life is the most defined name I came up with, bodytrainer is in other words a Personal Trainer and 4life is saying better health 4life,I was once obese and struggled with myself day and night,so once I was rescued from Pastor Joe whom I give much credit to the New me(lifestyle change)versus a diet I became more drawn into fitness, so I went to school and here I am a Certified Personal Trainer, leading the way by example.I am not the average Personal Trainer I am big on results and small on Revenue, We offer quality affordable training.Bodytrainer4life is great for as it’s one on one Training,to each client’s need in relevance to their fitness journey.Striving to become greater every day.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
My story behind being a business owner is as follow,I started out working at two other gyms as a Personal Trainer, but seeing bad judgements per those owners led me to start your own business so that clients shall receive full benefits of great over and beyond attention from the Personal Trainer(myself)so I had to pivot into purchasing my own equipment to take control of the greatness within to pour out into clients that needed the motivation and dedication of their Personal Trainer.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to learn to stay focused push on and to never give up on your passion, because if it’s in you fight to get it out and make a difference in someone life who needs what you have to make that difference.
