Hi Deborah , thanks for joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Hi! I’m Deborah peoples owner of Dearley Organics, I think to be successful it take patience it takes you wanting to succeed as bad as you want to breath . A lot of times we as people want to be successful but don’t take the steps to be successful and this is also for myself, I screamed how I wanted to be successful in business but found myself getting so lazy and unmotivated because I wasn’t selling the way I wanted to or thought I should . Once I started to promote do word of mouth I noticed how much more successful I became how many people loved my business how many people would stop me at stores and events and thanks me for my products . It’s such a beautiful feeling I have a lot learned putting your all into what you desire to be will get you the most successful believe in yourself even if you feel like no one else does all it takes is you.. Always believe In yourself you’ll expect no disappointments, you have all it takes to make you successful just don’t give up .

Deborah , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Hi! Everyone I’m Deborah Peoples the owner of Dearley Organics I have a organic haircare, skincare, body care and baby|toddler line for all skincare and haircare types .

I started my business back in 2020 right when Covid started and I was so nervous because times were hard and scary and wasn’t sure if starting a business would be a smart idea . Boy was I wrong I sold out of 50 products less than 2 hours I couldn’t believe it this motivated me to go harder and make more products so one product turned into 45 organic products all made by me .

Since I have started business in 2020 it has been nothing but blessings! I have been extremely blessed to have Dearley Organics as a full time job for the past 3 years beyond thankful for this and even more thankful for my customers for forever supporting and believing in me .

I have grew so many peoples hair and helped so many customers with skincare conditions and problems including my son that was born with a weird skincare condition and I am proud to say I cured it the organic way. Same with my 7 year old daughter she had over 23 brain surgeries her hair wouldn’t grow In properly thank you to Dearley her hair is beautiful and extremely thick . We believe in staying consistent and sticking to our haircare and skincare routine .

Word to anyone that wants to start a business do it! Believe in yourself don’t give up don’t let anyone discourage you . You got this!!! If I didn’t believe in myself I wouldn’t have made it this far . I’ll forever believe in myself and in my business .

Meaning of Dearley Cool fact DE• Deborah which is me , AR• Ariah which is my 7 year old daughter, LEY• Kensley which is my 5 year old daughter. The name means so much to me and speaks so much volume .

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

A lesson for me would be stop thinking everyone that you know is suppose to support you or entitled to support they are not! And this will be the biggest downfall believing this and also getting discouraged about .

This was my biggest lesson I use to get upset or discouraged because why would people in my family or knew me personally never support? What I learned is that strangers will support you and uplift you faster then those that know you they even believe in you 10xs more.

Expect the unexpected with business but ALWAYS believe in yourself even if no one does .

Can you open up about a time when you had a really close call with the business?

A near death moment for me well at least I thought it was I wanted to give up on my business so bad I cried for months and shut down and literally didn’t care if I was successful anymore . Backstory I opened up a store on 75th and prospect back in 2021 I was excited business was booming it felt like the best decision to do.

I went into business with another business owner and I must say our mindsets were not the same and that’s okay we’re both so excited to open up a store that nothing else mattered . I ended up getting pregnant and had health issues during pregnancy that I could barely keep up business we decided to close the store go our separate ways with business .

I got so discouraged and said well I’m over the business maybe it’s not for me I must say I’m beyond thankful for my Dearley customers they were not letting me give up or stop selling them products lol . I had so many encouraging messages this was a huge life lesson for me . Even when things fail blessing will still come when you least expect them. I must say thank you to everyone for encouraging me not to give up and continuing to believe in me .

This lesson would be it’s ok if things don’t work out the way you expected it’s not the end of the world keep pushing it’s something 10xs better out there for you and your business don’t give up .
