Hi Debbie, thanks for joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
As the Team Leader of The Sellsational Realty Group, I firmly believe in the power of teamwork. We are a group of exceptional real estate agents with OnDemand Realty who work together to deliver outstanding results. We understand that by fostering an environment of collaboration, sharing knowledge, and supporting one another, we can amplify our individual strengths and collectively reach greater heights. The name “Sellsational” reflects our commitment to excellence in real estate sales. It’s not just about being sensational; it’s about being sell-sational, emphasizing our focus on achieving successful sales transactions for our valued clients. We utilize an approach that goes above and beyond to create an outstanding selling experience for our clients.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Finding my place in this world was a journey that spanned several careers. I began as a probation officer, then transitioned to a crime scene investigator, and later became a college professor. While I appreciated each of these roles, it wasn’t until I discovered real estate that everything fell into place. For the past nine years, I’ve been immersed in the world of real estate. Starting as an assistant, I eventually took the leap to establish my own path. As I climbed the ladder of success over the years, I reached a point where I decided to pause and appreciate the view. I gained confidence, self-worth, and a sense of empowerment that led me to taking on the role of mentoring other agents, establishing my own distinctive brand, and forming a dedicated team. Along this path of growth and achievement, I’ve come to embrace my own value and inner strength. Now, I walk with an invisible crown, carrying myself with grace and dignity as I navigate my professional endeavors with an unwavering belief in my abilities. And through my journey, I’ve come to the profound realization that success cannot be solely defined by one’s position at the pinnacle or by one event. Accepting this mindset enables me to provide optimal service to my clients and effectively lead my team.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Many leaders fail because they do not understand how to manage a team or how to maintain high morale, both of which are crucial aspects of effective leadership. My first piece of advice is to focus on not only your own individual goals, but team goals as well. Celebrating milestones, both big and small, and publicly acknowledging team member contributions and successes cultivates a positive and supportive environment. Be a cheerleader for your team, and highlight everybody’s achievements. Empowering team members by delegating tasks and responsibilities according to their strengths and interests keeps team members more engaged and motivated. Encouraging collaboration creates an inclusive environment where everyone’s voice is valued, and diverse perspectives are appreciated. And lastly, your actions and attitude set the tone for your team, so lead by example and be a role model by showng enthusiasm and passion for your work.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Not only in the real estate industry, but in any business, It takes time and consistency to grow your clientele. My most effective strategy is to not rely on only one strategy. I continuously evaluate and adjust my strategies based on feedback and results that I receive. By implementing a well-rounded approach that combines various strategies, I can increase my visibility, attract new clients, and foster long-term success. These various strategies include networking, client referrals, targeting marketing, building a strong online presence, geographic farming, strategic partnerships, expanding my skillset, and providing exceptional customer service.
