Debbie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Born in Chicago, the oldest of 4 daughters. I have 2 Bachelor Degrees and a Doctor of Chiropractic. I am divorced with one son, who is 28 years old. I have lived in Colorado since September of 1996. I have one horse and three cats. I am passionate about healing. I do human and animal chiropractic. I am a Diplomat in Acupuncture. I am a level 3 Certified NET Practioner, I am a certified in Body Talk. I also offer Cranial Sacral as well as Laser, RIFE Machine, IMRS, ION Foot Baths, Nutrition, Methylation testing, and genetic testing.

I am most proud of being in practice for 30 years and a certified animal chiropractor for 25 years. I am constantly going to classes to increase my education so that I can offer the best treatments possible for my clients and patients. I keep my prices reasonable, so that people can afford to come because my passion is helping people, not the bottom dollar.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

When 9/11 happened in 2001 and the markets crashed, I found myself recently divorced, business slowed way down and my bookkeeper told me I needed to let my assistant go. At that time, my assistant was the breadwinner for her family and I really didn’t want to have to let her go, so I refused to. I was afraid if I let her go, it would be admitting defeat in a way. It was only by the Grace of God that we survived and in 2002 my practice started picking up again. The never giving up during this time allowed for my business to survive and grow, despite outside circumstances.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Patient referrals are a big part of growing my business, even to this day. I also invested in my website, which provides people with more in-depth information on what services I provide and why, including podcasts and links to information on the particular treatments I offer.
