Daysha , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is daysha belford and I am from Long Island New York. I started customizing bags and shoes for my love of fashion. One day I during the pandemic I decided to start my own business. I was so nervous about doing that because I didn’t think anyone would support but they did. I kept being consistent on my social media pages and now I have 4k followers within a year. my business page is called Dslayscrocs__ on Instagram. I can’t say it was always an Easy process but I pushed through regardless of any obstacle that came my way like I stated before. I’ve researched so many different techniques and also gave some up coming entrepreneurs my tips along the way. I can’t wait to see how my business expands over the next few years.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I honestly love social media because I feel like it’s a great way to earn income. I feel like so many people are using social media for the wrong things. Such as gossiping and drama in which they can use these free apps to Monetize off of them. Most of my customers have came from social media. I built my business off of social media by just being consistent and always posting my work even if it’s the same work I did before. I also use hashtags and I believe people see how I carry myself as a person on social media and feel like they need to shop with me just based off my personality and I have been told that I have great customer service as well.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I watch a lot of YouTube and I watch a lot of entrepreneurs and how they carry themselves especially in a business aspect and I use that to help my entrepreneurial skills.
