We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Davion Riyal a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Davion thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

I want to be able to leave a legacy period my name is Davion Royal. Not too many people know that name., let alone the last name. And that is my mission. To put a face with that name to bring more value to the history that it already has.

Davion, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Well, first thing that caught my eye was seeing my big sister taking professional photos. It wasn’t something I thought I could do but seeing her do that gave me a little bit more confidence. I also loved watching movies growing up and was able to mimic all of my favorite films from start to finish. So without even knowing I fell in love with acting. Just so happened one of my most memorable moments came when I got a golden chick commercial. Something that was totally unexpected, but I did so good in that one they gave me two commercials. Being able to do that boosting my confidence hired in places that I didn’t think would be reachable. At that point I want to test myself even further so I wanted to do movies. Start out just being an extra. To having a couple lines here and there. To landing lead roles. My goal is to make it to the big spring one day and bring a lot of the people who help me along the way so that they can make their own legacy.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?

My best advice is be yourself always be yourself be vocal. stand your ground, be kind, be stern and most of all be present. Always let them know you’re right there with them.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

My biggest reason for that is it has to start with me. The legacy for my family has to start with me.
