Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Davila Jackley. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Davila thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
BeadedUpByDavi was never just about putting beads on a string. It started from a personal place — I was looking for something that made me feel beautiful, grounded, and confident again. Something that reminded me I was still me, even as my body changed.
That feeling I got from wearing waistbeads — like I was reconnecting with myself — is what I wanted to give to others.
My mission is to help people feel good in their skin — not just when they “bounce back” or fit some ideal, but right now. That includes postpartum bodies, bodies in transition, healing bodies, and every kind of body that deserves love. I know how hard it can be to look in the mirror and feel disconnected from who you see. Waistbeads became a way to shift that energy — to reclaim that connection and say, this is still me, and I’m still beautiful.
I make each strand with real intention and love, for real people — all shapes, sizes, and stories. Whether you’re on a healing journey, a self-love journey, or just trying to feel like you again, BeadedUpByDavi is here to remind you: you are worthy, powerful, and deserving of adornment — exactly as you are.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hey, I’m Davi — the owner and creator of BeadedUpByDavi. Honestly, I didn’t start this brand because I had it all figured out. I started it during a time when I needed something to help me feel like myself again.
I was going through changes — physically, mentally, emotionally — and I felt disconnected from my body. I just wanted to feel good in my skin, to feel beautiful again. I made my first waistbeads for me. And the moment I tied them on, something clicked. I felt confident, soft, strong — all at once. That little piece of string with beads gave me a sense of power I didn’t expect. And I knew I wanted to share that feeling with other women.
BeadedUpByDavi is my way of helping people feel seen, loved, and beautiful — exactly as they are. I hand-make waistbeads, anklets, bracelets, and I put real intention into every piece. These aren’t mass-produced or thrown together quickly. I take my time because these beads hold energy. They carry purpose. They tell stories.
I make beads for every body type — from slim to thick, postpartum to curvy, and everything in between. No matter what stage of life you’re in, I want you to feel good when you look in the mirror. Especially after things like giving birth, weight changes, or just healing through stuff. We deserve to feel connected to ourselves again.
What sets me apart? I care. Like, genuinely. I’m not just making pretty things — I’m creating pieces that make people feel. I get messages from women telling me they cried happy tears when they put their beads on, or that it helped them fall back in love with their bodies. That means everything to me.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about my brand, it’s this: It’s not about perfection — it’s about connection. With yourself. With your body. With your energy. BeadedUpByDavi is here for that. No matter what season you’re in, you deserve to feel beautiful and powerful. And I’d be honored to create something just for you.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One lesson I had to unlearn was that I had to “fix” myself before I could feel beautiful. For a long time, I believed I needed to look a certain way — have a flatter stomach, lose weight, or fit some version of perfection before I could feel confident, sexy, or even worthy.
The truth is, that mindset held me back. I was constantly waiting — waiting to love myself, waiting to wear the things I wanted, waiting to feel like I was “enough.” And it got exhausting.
That’s part of what led me to waistbeads. When I made my first set, I wasn’t trying to start a business — I was just trying to feel good in my own skin. And when I tied them on, something shifted. For the first time in a while, I didn’t feel like I had to shrink myself or hide. I felt present in my body. I felt soft, strong, and like me again — without changing a thing.
That’s when I realized: I don’t have to earn my beauty. I don’t have to wait to love myself. And that lesson — unlearning that I had to “fix” anything — changed my life. It’s the reason I do what I do now. I want other women to feel that same shift — to know that they are already enough, exactly as they are.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
Honestly, I keep in touch with my clients just by being real. I don’t try to sound like a big brand or some company — I talk to people like I know them, because a lot of the time, it really does feel like that. Whether it’s through DMs, comments, or just saying thank you after someone orders, I always try to show love and let people know I see and appreciate them.
When someone shops with me, I don’t take it lightly. That’s someone trusting me to make something personal for them — and that means a lot. So I try to go the extra mile, whether that’s adding a little note to their package, remembering their favorite color combo, or just checking in after they get their beads.
I think that’s what keeps people coming back — the energy. People can feel when something is made with care. I’m not just here to sell beads. I actually want you to feel something when you wear them. That connection is what builds loyalty. And I don’t fake it — I really do care.
At the end of the day, I just try to keep it genuine. No weird sales talk, no pressure. Just me being me, and showing love to the people who support what I do.
