We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Davii Adeleke. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Davii below.
Davii, appreciate you joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I dont know if I could really pinpoint the exact moment I wanted to pursue my art. I’ve always been a go with the flow type of person, so because of that the paths I lead myself is always the furthest path. I think just being not fulfilled in my work outside of my art more-so pushed me to pursue my art.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am designer, at this moment just a designer in clothing but that will evolve. I started making clothes because I wanted to create something that was tangible and real. My clothing isn’t anything new I don’t want to recreate the wheel I just want to put my touch on that same wheel, I don’t care to fulfill people needs all I want to do is create my art and for people to understand it and be receptive of it. Living up to the person I think I am makes me proud.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
a lesson I had to unlearn was to stop overthinking. Alot of times when starting new and unfamiliar things, us as people tend to become prisoners of our thoughts. Basically don’t let your thoughts and insecurities stop you from doing what you want to do.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Me existing and still continuing with my art illustrates my resilience. Their has been plenty of times I wanted to quit and plenty of times I have quit but I’m still hear, I’m still standing pushing for the same dreams I’ve always had.
