We were lucky to catch up with David Singleton recently and have shared our conversation below.
David, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about serving the underserved.
Working a 9-5 at an enterprise-level company in corporate America is full of advantages. Mainly access to some of the best tech and tools. After switching roles to a higher position at a start-up company, I realized the gap in systems and processes that are faced at that level of business. It made me think. “if this is the struggles that businesses with Series funding are facing, I can only imagine what type of disadvantage the small businesses in my community are facing”. From this one thought. Singleton’s Bridge was born. Based on providing support in the areas that most entrepreneurs find themselves burnt out or failing in (Sales, Admin, Social Media).
My goal for Singleton’s Bridge has been to give local businesses (and beyond) access to the talent and strategies of enterprise-level caliber to grow and flourish. Empowering others to build their dreams and giving them to tools to do so!

David, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a big family person. I have a wife and 3 daughters. I’m a former college football athlete who now enjoys staying active with boxing and golf. I am also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated where I regularly volunteer and am involved with the community.
My career has a strong background in sales for 7 years. My company provides businesses with professional and prequalified virtual assistants to delegate tasks such as Sales (lead generation, cold calling, etc); General admin (CRM management, email/calendar management, etc); and social media management (Content creation, posting, and more). These are the primary use cases we fall under, but there are a lot of custom services we can provide.
The reason I love my business is because our success is almost always dependent on our client’s success. If we blow the requirements out of the water they typically give us more business to keep scaling. If for some reason one of our Virtual Assistants doesn’t perform the best then the opposite happens. There is no faking it. We are invested in our clients and building real relationships. We want to scale with them!
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I was actually thrown into the full time entrepreneur role. My previous company was showing signs of unsteadiness, so I decided to start my steps as a “Sales VA” by myself, just in case.
Shortly after, the company I was working for laid off every person in my role as well as my manager. Despite making president’s club and having accolades, I was without a job.
From there I decided to take this seriously and really go after this. About 6 months in I was ready to start a team.
Even though the rode has been a roller coaster of emotions and challenges, I am forever grateful of what entrepreneurship has taught me.
I truly want to encourage everyone to have perseverance. No matter what you think isn’t going right, just keep putting in the work and do right by people. Everything always ends up just how it should.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Building my audience is still something I am solving. Each day brings new ideas and new courage to try something outside of my comfort zone. I’m a natural private person. Majority of my initial content I was struggling to find my voice that was truly organic.
Never let your insecurities block you from finding your voice. Keep trying and eventually, you will be comfortable and things will be more natural. It will take time, but the only way to find your voice is to speak!
