We recently connected with David Samorano and have shared our conversation below.
Hi David , thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
“From the beginning, our mission has been to provide unparalleled service to businesses both online and in person. We strive to create positive movement through our industry. We consider each relationship with a client or affiliate a privilege. We ensure a compelling understanding occurs when our services are requested.” That is our mission statement at Live The Dream Media but it is more than that. It is a diligent process and it is vital to success. The success of our clients is our priority. Fully understanding their goals and expectations takes more than a phone call.
We chose this mission because when we look at it from a consumer perspective, we see what we feel a lot of people want. People want to feel heard and understood. When people choose to hire you for a job, the best asset for everyone involved is communication.
As a company we spend a lot of time focusing on the fact our relationship with a client or affiliate is truly a privilege. When we work with that in mind, it keeps us working to make sure that relationship thrives and grows.
David , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I don’t have your average story leading up to my current career path. I started out in law enforcement and worked for two agencies over 11 years. During that time I had a side hustle writing/producing music and I worked diligently to understand social media. I grew up in the social media boom so getting to know the platforms was fun. I stuck with my side hustle for over 15 years and moved into videography as well. This would take me to a meeting with my new business partner, Clint Peek. Clint understood the importance of digital media and the role it would play in commerce. Together we developed a strategic business plan encompassing flexibility for new technologies and processes related to social media, broadcasting and digital advertising.
Having the flexibility has allowed us to move into several new spaces for digital advertising and has helped us grow a consistent, happy and dedicated client base. We are proud of this and we are proud of our growing podcast network which features several talented hosts.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Honestly, I feel like this is a simple task. Do what you said you would do, do it well and communicate. This has really strengthened our business relationships and our reputation.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Everyday, all of us are intendated with social media from “self proclaimed growth gurus” advising they have the secret to growing your clientele exponentially. Save your time and money on that. Foster relationships starting where you are at (locationally). There is a lot to learn from others in your community and there are also problems in your community you can solve. Reaching out in areas and markets where you have no foundational reputation can be cumbersome. Starting where you are at also gives you the opportunity to hone in your selling skills, operations and staffing.
