Hi David, thanks for joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
The legacy I hope to build with The Giants Pictures is one of inspiration, empowerment, and positive impact. I want people to remember me as someone who used visual storytelling as a powerful tool to uplift and celebrate the successes and achievements of others.
I hope that people will say that I made a significant contribution to the world by creating a platform that shared successful stories, helped businesses and brands grow, and amplified the voices of individuals who may not have had the opportunity otherwise. I aspire to be remembered as a person who dedicated their life to making the world a better place through the art of storytelling, leaving behind a lasting impact that motivates and inspires others to do the same. Ultimately, I want my legacy to be one of fostering positivity, empowerment, and the belief that each person’s story has the potential to make a meaningful difference in the world.

Background and Journey:
David Munyaneza hails from Rwanda and came to the United States as an international student in 2017. He pursued a bachelor’s degree in Integrated Science with a concentration in Environmental Science and Agricultural Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Before this, he had a background in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Rwanda.
The Giants Pictures:
David is the founder and director of The Giants Pictures, a multimedia organization with a diverse set of offerings. The organization specializes in amplifying people’s voices and stories, as well as developing brands through visual content. These services include:
* Video and Photography Projects: David and his team work as photographers, producers, and directors on various projects.
* Supporting Farmers and Entrepreneurs: They have helped farmers in Rwanda and emerging entrepreneurs in the US to share their challenges and successes.
* Multimedia Channel Management: The Giants Pictures creates and manages multimedia channels for effective communication.
* Expanded Services: They have expanded their services to include corporate video production, wedding videography and photography, event livestreaming, music videos, promotional videos, real estate videos and photos, drone photography and videography, corporate graphic design, and more.
Professional Role at the Daugherty Water for Food Institute:
In October 2021, David joined the Daugherty Water for Food Institute as a communications specialist. In this role, he develops and manages visual communication strategies and produces multimedia content to inspire engagement around water policies and agricultural entrepreneurship and innovation, both in Nebraska and globally.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
My journey into entrepreneurship and multimedia began during my time as an international student in the United States. Through financial discipline and the prudent use of my tax returns, I managed to accumulate the initial capital required to start my business, The Giants Pictures. By saving a portion of my stipend every month which was $400 and directing my tax returns towards my passion, I was able to invest in essential videography and photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, and lighting. With this entrepreneurial vision and a commitment to impactful storytelling, I transformed my passion into a professional venture, offering a diverse range of multimedia services to clients in fields such as agriculture, entrepreneurship, entertainment and more which are generating more revenues now.

I think my reputation within this multimedia market has been meticulously crafted through a combination of factors that showcase my commitment to excellence and impactful storytelling.
