Alright, David thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
My entrepreneurial inception germinated from my professional background within the insurance industry. I recognized a distinct opportunity to offer specialized services aimed at advocating for and representing homeowners grappling with the aftermath of flood and fire damage to their properties. In many instances, insurance companies, driven by cost containment, tend to undervalue and underpay legitimate claims. It was this systemic issue that prompted me to establish a business dedicated to championing the rights of homeowners in their interactions with insurance giants.
The genesis of this endeavor can be traced back to my extensive decade-long tenure within prominent insurance organizations. During this period, I became increasingly disheartened by the approaches employed in client interactions. However, the watershed moment occurred in 2019 when I confronted a substantial flood event impacting a recently acquired rental property. The initial settlement offered by my insurance provider amounted to a mere $7,500.00, which was grossly insufficient to cover the extensive repairs required. After protracted negotiations and arduous advocacy, we ultimately reached a more equitable settlement of approximately $130,000.00.
It was during this challenging experience that a profound realization emerged – if I possessed the acumen and resolve to navigate this complex terrain successfully for myself, there was a compelling imperative to extend such expertise and representation to the broader public. Consequently, our enterprise was conceived as a conduit for accessible professional expertise and unwavering representation, ensuring homeowners receive the advocacy they rightly deserve.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I bring a wealth of experience from a diverse background in the insurance industry. Over the years, I’ve developed a highly effective negotiation process rooted in extensive knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and industry standards. This process consistently delivers exceptional results for our clients, with an average return on claims that surpasses industry standards by an impressive 400%.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
Before embarking on my entrepreneurial journey, I had previously owned a multi-family property. Recognizing the need for ample startup capital for my business venture, I made the strategic decision to sell this property just prior to launching the company. From day one, I adopted a bootstrapping approach, investing every available resource into the nascent business. As a testament to my commitment, I abstained from drawing a personal salary for nearly 18 months after the company’s inception. This deliberate step back on the personal front ultimately facilitated a significant leap forward for the business.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
In my industry, as in many others, there is a propensity to attract individuals and entities with questionable ethical standards. I firmly hold the belief that establishing an unblemished reputation from day one is paramount. Straying into morally ambiguous territory inevitably leads to ethical compromise. Within my company, we uphold a steadfast commitment to a principled and ethical approach. This unwavering dedication to integrity has been the cornerstone of our stellar reputation, which in turn has facilitated our continuous growth, with a consistent pattern of doubling our revenue every 3-6 months.
Our path to resounding success was paved by our unwavering commitment to assisting clients from the very inception of our venture, without allowing financial gain to dictate our actions. We extended our support pro bono, aiding numerous elderly individuals, fully aware that profitability might remain elusive. Yet, our conviction lay in the principle that it was simply the right thing to do. This altruistic ethos has cultivated an enduring and burgeoning reputation that remains the driving force behind our company’s growth.
