Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to David Gomez Jr. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
David, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Before we talk about all of your success, let’s start with a story of failure. Can you open up about a time when you’ve failed?
The biggest failure I’ve faced was in the beginning when I just jumped into the business head first and ordered a bulk order of products with no customer and didn’t sell anything made no profit at all, and didn’t have a website for everyone around the world to see my merchandise, also In the beginning was trying to do influencer marketing and the influencer weren’t 100% with doing they’re part
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I started off in 2018 after graduating high school as a fashion model after having my first shoot ever for my prom sent off had grab some people’s attention. I then continued on with shooting with my photographer “RJ Oliver” to build a portfolio and catalog. then after a while I took a temporary break due to transitioning my life moving back to my hometown. after settling in started shooting again and then started my own clothing business of my own “Fallen Idols” providing products such as T-shirts, jogging sets, jackets, undergarments, etc. I can say that I am most proud of how far I came from the day that I started my brand. with nothing learning from my first bad release, and getting in contact with the right people for help and guidance. I would want my people to know that nothing about my brand didn’t just happen overnight. many times of being doubtful about my brand, many times of working on new ideas and concepts to put together, many mistakes I had to learn from many people I had fell out with the chasing what I want to achieve, you just have to be patient with yourself and don’t rush the process.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
By being consistent with marketing yourself photoshoots, products, etc. upload content on all platforms reels, tiktoks, keep your following up to date with what’s going on in your life and watch the growth.
Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.
I bought my manufacturer list from other brand owners and just tried them out one by one depending on what product I needed done and what country the manufacturer is from after a while I learned more about the different kinds of printing and fabrics and materials every product is best fit with.
