We were lucky to catch up with David Blutcher recently and have shared our conversation below.
David, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
My father is one my greatest heros. Throughout my life, he made the greatest impact on my trajectory. From the time that I was a child, my father allowed me to experience so many facets of life: sports, screenwriting, investments, real estate…….and so much more. However, most importantly, he instilled values, discipline, morals and determination. I always felt my Father’s’ wise counsel was laced with so much love. During in his life, he attained several educational degrees, hall of fame athletic awards and profitable business ventures. While he has many life accomplishments, my father never allowed this to deter him from being the most loving and caring father ever.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
The formative years of my career began as a collegiate student majoring Business Administration and Accounting. During this time I developed a passion for writing about life experiences and historical concepts. During college, my desire to learn more about screenwriting and filmmaking reached a fever peak. I attended a comedy improv show at Second City Theater in Chicago, Illinois. Afterwards, I completed classes in Production and Writing for TV and film.
Afterwards, I relocated to Atlanta to expand my networking capabilities in the entertainment industry by meeting other creators at the Coalition of Artists forum, attending film festivals and screenings of independent films. Throughout this process I met Filmmakers, Actors, Directors, Editors, Producers and Production Designers that offer excellent advice for my work development.
My proudest accomplishment is not primarily related to the creative pieces that I wrote, produced and directed. I am most proud of my personal growth from being a child with a limited ability to read and write to being an adult that can express himself in such a powerful way through word and film. It amazes me how your God-given talents makes room for you.
My interest in historical events, comedy, satire, horror and mystery thrillers influence my work. My Previous short film productions include: 1. “An Interracial Friendship”, 2. “No Means No”, 3. “Not for Me”, and 4. “A Dealbreaker”. Currently, I am in the process of developing my first feature film.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect, as a writer, is to express myself through written word and allow the viewer panoramic view of my thoughts and ideas.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to deliver quality, open, honest and purposeful works that address societal issues, leading to ultimate immense destiny.
