We were lucky to catch up with David Addison recently and have shared our conversation below.
David , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope to leave growing successful catering company that my kids can run and continue to feed the community that I grew up in. I want to be remembered for being a hard worker and never getting up on my dream
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
SoleBowl LLC is a barbecue catering company that specializes in southern dishes “your mom use to make” . I’m a small business owner with a big dream to put my hometown which is Atlanta, GA on the map in the barbecue world. I started grilling when I was 11 years old every since that passion for smoke meats grew and grew. Until now where I create my own spice rubs to my own barbecue sauces using peaches and other fruits grown in Georgia.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I started my business back in 2020 when whole world was shutting down I was taken all the money I had to start my catering company. I took my last check from work and whatever money I could find , asked family and friends to help with the business.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I started building my social media by putting videos, and displaying pictures of my dishes , events I have had, and cooking videos. To promote my catering company. And my advice for someone who trying to build their business on social media ” Just be yourself “!!!! Let your personality shine.
