Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Davi Stefond . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Davi thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I did theater all throughout highschool, and I also have taken acting classes here and there.
I think everything is about timing so I don’t think anyone should rush the process.
I think living and having life experiences and going through things, good and mad makes the work more authentic. When you play a character that has also gone through the same thing you have, it allows the performance to be even better. As you can pull from that place.
I don’t think any obstacles are such a thing, everyday we are learning. You grow from good and bad experinces.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I did theater in highschool, and took acting classes here and there. I didn’t know I wanted to do acting until later in life, I lived so many different lives before than. Soccer player, solider, fashion kid. Then i found my true calling. I think the itch was always there though,
I think everyone has their own journey on how they get into the business, but I’m coming from a military background so my work-ethic and discipline is already there.
I’m just getting started, and many more things to celebrate, but I am proud of all my accomplish.
So early in my acting career , I’ve manage to work with Issa Rae, Serpentwithfeet, Jon bastiste, Lebra Jolie, with just a few to name.. I have been on four billboards, several music videos, a show on outtv, and have several film projects out and some with release dates soon. :)

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I wouldn’t say I have a goal, I think once you set a goal and reach it, then what? Y know? I have things I want to achieve sure, but at the be of the day, we need more queer voices, more black queer voices, and more voices from people who don’t get opportunities.
I want to create and make space for everyone of course, but specifically for all those people who felt like misfits, the outcast, the underdog, or never felt in because they were meant for so much more. :)

Have you ever had to pivot?
Again Iam still early in my career, but you have to let some people go. Not everyone will support you , and not everyone wants the best for you and that’s okay, but I think when you realize that and you are okay with having to create that boundary for yourself. You can really sky rocket. Sometimes people hold you back, and it may not be intentional but I think people should surround themselves with people who want to grow and reach that next level. Thats what one part of the human experience is. Growing.
