Hi Davee, thanks for joining us today. How do you think about vacations as a business owner? Do you take them and if so, how? If you don’t, why not?
Not as often as I would like lol. As a business owner it is highly important that we stay consistent in whatever your passion is. A lot of times that means sacrificing our personal time, and spending more time on bettering our business.
When I’m not focusing on my business, I love to make time for myself whether that is going to the spa, going shopping or hanging out with my friends & family. It’s important we take time to digest & take care of ourselves.


Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Davee Latoya & I am the owner of DVL Glam & Aesthetics, LLC.
I’ve been in love with the beauty industry since I was 18 yrs old. I remember on my 18th birthday my cousin took me to the MAC counter to get my first real make over, and I absolutely loved everything about it. I more so loved how the MAC girls made the clients feel when they left the counter after receiving a make over, and how the clients left having confidence & feeling good about themselves. Ever since then I fell in love with the beauty industry & the contribution it had on people obtaining a higher self-esteem.
Here at DVL Glam we offer professional makeup services to clients of all ages, races, gender and communities. With a specialty in bridal and soft glam makeup applications.
We want our clients to know that here at DVL Glam we strive for greatness, we will always aim to exceed our clients expectations , and our main goal is providing the best customer service experience ever.


Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Being a professional makeup artist in the beauty industry amongst so many professionals. I think networking with many vendors in the industry, and always maintaining a positive attitude definitely helped build my reputation .


Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
The best way for me to keep in touch with clients is through emails, and also through my booking link (Honeybook).
I’ve been able to foster brand loyalty by sometimes making exceptions for my clients, maintaining good & respectful relationships, and being understanding. Creating client retention is one of our primary goals, along with making sure our clients feel comfortable at all times.
