We recently connected with Dave Chandler and have shared our conversation below.
Dave, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the best or worst investment you’ve made?
The best investment I have made as a business owner is investing in myself. Always providing myself with the necessary tools I need to succeed. Whether it be motivating my hustle, branding my business, or purchasing new equipment, your tolls will take you to new territories. I have been able to be blessed with some growth in business and contribute a lot to my hard work and believing in myself.

Dave, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My business is a Private Chef/Caterer.. I’m a self-taught Chef, born and raised in STL. I’ve loved cooking ever since I was young. It’s always been a hobby and a special talent! With the help and motivation from family and friends, I started up my Private Chef Service about five years ago. I started off selling and delivering different prepared meals locally every Sunday. Switching up the menu weekly, I was able to be creative, perfect my craft, as well as challenge myself. Quality and consistency are some things I’ve always valued. My following grew majorly through word of mouth as well as social media. Eventually, people wanted more food… from personal pans to party pans! I am constantly motivated by my passion for the craft, my desire to challenge myself, and empty stomachs!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think quality has helped me build a reputation within my market. Quality is something I have made a primary focus. It allows you to stand out and be different from competition. I love to focus on all of the small details to make the overall image better. Quality also speaks commitment and care. I care about what goes into the body and committed to providing the best for my clients.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele is by far consistently and customer satisfaction. Being consistent is key to helping establish trust and loyalty with customers. That attributed with great satisfactory service, your clients will have confidence in your brand. They will always know what to expect and by excited about that same comforting feeling.
