Dave , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
A Southern California native and longtime Manhattan Beach resident, I launched my real estate career after earning a Master’s in Real Estate Finance from USC and becoming a licensed general contractor. Early on, I built my foundation by renovating homes and working bank-owned properties, developing a hands-on understanding of the market that still sets me apart today.
As Principal of Caskey Real Estate Group, I lead one of the region’s top-performing teams, known for our collaborative culture, personalized service, and consistent results. My approach is always client-first, backed by strategic deal-making, strong relationships, and a commitment to excellence that has earned me a steady stream of repeat clients and referrals.
Now, as a founding partner of FastForward Movement LA, a high-performance real estate collective powered by eXp Realty, I’m creating a platform to develop the next generation of elite agents. I mentor with intention, offering guidance on everything from sales mastery and brand strategy to scalable systems and residual income growth beyond commissions.
Whether I’m marketing a luxury estate, negotiating a complex transaction, or helping an agent build a thriving business, I bring the same goal to every interaction: to help people win and grow in a constantly evolving real estate landscape.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Consistency and relationships. I’ve always believed real estate is a long game. It’s not just about the next transaction; it’s about showing up for your clients, your team, and your community over and over again. I built my reputation by being dependable and deeply involved in the South Bay. People know I care about this place because I live, work, and raise my family here. That local knowledge and personal investment create trust, and trust is everything in this business. I’ve also surrounded myself with great people who share those values, and that’s helped build a brand that people know they can count on.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Referrals, hands down. When you consistently deliver great service and results, people talk. Most of our new business comes from past clients, local families, and agents in our network who trust us to take care of their people. We’ve also built a strong presence in the community through schools, sports, and local events, and that keeps us top of mind when someone’s ready to make a move. Relationships have always been the foundation of our growth.
