Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to NoLoveKarter. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
NoLoveKarter, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
The moment i knew i wanted to pursue music as one of my careers was when i was 18. I had just moved back to Atlanta after graduating high school from Statesboro High School. 2 of my closest friends (brothers) made music, so one night we ended up going to the studio and one of them (LostCause Mookie) was working on his first album, he was like ” aye bro ! get on this song with me and my other brother (WealthyBaby) and on the song i went last out of everybody. I did not like my verse at all because i wasn’t no rapper (really was a hooper) but the motivation and the drive to chase after being a artist came from them and others applauding my rapping ability, telling me i was hard, and people actually wanting to work with me. One day, this dude who made beats for a lot of well known underground and couple mainstream artists told me i had what it takes to be a artist from the work ethic to the flow and creativity of words. Then actually getting support from my family for real. I am thankful for them for believing in me knowing i had faith in me
NoLoveKarter, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well i was born and raised in Statesboro, Georgia. Grew up in a single parent household with my mom, brother, and sister. Early on, life was very much hard, seen and faced so many struggles. I played middle school basketball and high school basketball. Basketball was my first love before i fell in love with music. Music has always been one of the ways to calm me down or ease me. I began rapping at 10, but the song was super trash!!!! I started back rapping at 18, but i wasn’t that good but i was decent. The love for music was always there, so i began recording myself at 19. My brother (Rashard) is my motivation to keep going and chasing my dreams, he was known in the music industry and he died (cancer) in November of 2014 and at that moment music has been my only outlet to express myself on how i feel at the moment. My main problem with my music is i hold my songs and the lack of promoting myself to different audience to gain fans (Well Wishers). I am still working and finding ways to build my fan base (Well Wishers). The things that set me apart from a lot of artists is that i have my own sound that nobody has in the industry, another one is i am willing to make sacriifices, and nobody has a higher work ethic. I had to learn to accept criticism from your well wishers, being able to improvise, and be totally creative with your music. I have 4 projects out now on all platforms. My 4 recent projects that were released are called ” Ke$h ” & ” W.T.I.R ” & ” A Rose For No One But The Hood and” & “Idk juss vibe “. My favorite songs are ” Tom Hanks, Young Thug, Thug Love, and Proud ” which each are from the following list from the 4 projects i have released. I actually have a a project i am planning to drop this month called ” Adonis Mozart”, so be on the lookout for that project in the near future or tomorrow. I want my well wisherz to know that this new project is gone be a vibe, most songs is going to be more relatable, and i want to thank you all for everything. I am proud of who i am becoming inside of the music and outside of the music. Also i have new song features with RahDaGreat, RastaChop, Kash, CaliBucky, and more. And also ” Free Da MOBB ” cause they still push me to be great and be at my best with music but as a overall person. I do music to give us a outlet or another way of living instead of being a continued statistic to the court/jail system. My music is to express what i go through, been through, seen, or dealt with. Stay tuned for more music and videos otw. Also go check out some more artist (RahDaGreat, YoungGeneration, Kash, Skee, JussBoolin, Vulture Fly, Lil Skent, Big 5ive, CaliBucky, UglyassTylon, PesoHambre, Ac Cooley, Don Scrilla, and more. Also if you need a video look up (Pakszn, No Opp Studios).
Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
Most people are not willing to sacrifice and miss out on certain things to take the harder route to success. People don’t know or see the late nights of the grind and sleepless days of you chasing a dream you think is useless but you having a never give up attitude and persona is different. Being a music is hard but easy because the hard part is getting different people to actually listen to your music without being judged by the next person. No one understands how hard it is to keep going when none support or believe in you at all.
Is there a mission driving your creative journey?
Right now, my goal is to build my fan base and engage more with people who support my music. I want to win a Grammy Award one day in the near future. Another one is i want to do a song with Young Thug or Erkyah Badu.
