Dashawn , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
All my projects hold significant meaning. As a children’s book author, I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with young people, their parents, organizations, and other influential figures in the lives of our future generations. Observing the youth embrace knowledge, confidence, and happiness simultaneously is a priceless experience.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
As an advocate for youth development, I began my journey with the Children’s Defense Fund and successfully impacted the community. Realizing my purpose is to uplift inner-city communities, I now focus on schools, recreation centers, and libraries. To further enhance my efforts, I recently joined The Cris Collinsworth ProScan Foundation which teaches children chess as a tool for success.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an author is knowing that I’m making a difference in people’s lives through my writing.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I am determined to make a meaningful difference in the lives of millions, striving for positive change and inspiring others to do the same.
