We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dashaun Bryant. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dashaun below.
Hi Dashaun, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I came up with the idea for Roof Hustlers after watching a few Grant Cardone Videos and he was stating how every industry has a Gap in it and if you can feel the gap you’ll make a lot of money and i saw the gap with training in the roofing industry so i decided to fill it..

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Dashaun i been in the Door to Door roofing industry for going on 8 years in february. I got into the industry by mistake, a good friend of mines offered me an opportunity i took it and ran with it. We had a child on the way and we didnt want to do day care this was the only opportunity where i could make good money and still stay home with my kid. So ive been a stay at home dad my first 5 years in the industry. So two years into the roofing industry i was knocking doors and i met a homeowner who i sold and he complimented me on my skills and he asked me who was my mentors or my coachs i told him i didnt have any at the time. He recommended i look up a guy by the name of Grant Cardone who i wasnt aware of at that time. I went home and i studied his information and he said one thing that changed my entire life he said “Every Industry has a gap in it if you can fill that gap you will make alot of money” Then it clicked in my head the roofing industry wasnt the best at training so i made it my duty, obligation and responsibility to make sure that any rep who gets into the game after me didnt have to go through any of the struggles or hardships i had to experience. So thats when i created Roof Hustlers. I started a youtube channel where i provide free tips and tricks to help you maximize your game at the door. I spoke to my first roofing company in 2018, 2019 we gained momentum, I trained 10 companies in 2020, 30 in 2021 and right now in 2022 im about 23 companies. I travel around the country, i spend 3 days with the door to door sales team helping them get their mind right so they can get their grind right. Helping them fill any gaps in their game helping them master the physical and the mental games of sales because i am also a certified mental performance coach. Roof Hustlers is all about hustling with principles and not your feelings because behind every principle is a promise and behind your feelings are nothing. So its principle based hustling.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Ive been building my social media presence going on 5 years now, every year ive gained around 1k plus followers. One of the major keys to social media is consistency and authenticity. Also having multiple outlets but everyone being slightly different. Example my youtube is all about free teaching but my IG is all bout mindset small little one minute clips on ways to think. Ive opted out of buying followers because i would rather build my community organically idc if it takes longer but i know it will last longer because the people who follow me are genuine supporters and not just some robots. So be authentically yourself, be patient, run your own race and your voice will attract your tribe.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
The thing that i believe helped me build my reputation in the market was being authentically myself. I grew up in the hood so i brought that side of me to the brand, i use to make music so i made my own intros for my youtube videos, i wear a bowtie, i also wear a gold chain in the shape of my logo. So im always myself and i believe that gives everyone else permission to be themselves and not worrying about fitting in but standing out being them selves.
