Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Darren Hawkins. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Darren, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
At AdarenProduction, our mission is simple: to bring creativity and vision to life — no matter the shape, size, or category it falls into. I’ve always believed that if you can dream it, I can help make it real.
This mission means a lot to me because it’s rooted in my love for the art — not just the technical side, but the feeling, the soul behind it. I didn’t start this just to run a business. I started AdarenProduction because I genuinely love creating. Whether it’s capturing a moment, building a visual from scratch, or helping someone bring their story to life — I’m all in. Every project is personal.
I never wanted to be boxed into one style or one lane. Creativity isn’t meant to live in a box. That’s why at Adarenproduction, we move with freedom. From music videos to brand stories, to things people thought weren’t even possible — I want to be the one who helps bring those visions to light.
This isn’t just about cameras or editing timelines. It’s about passion, connection, and purpose. I care deeply about the work because I care about the people behind it. When someone trusts me with their vision, I take that seriously — and I put everything I’ve got into making sure it hits.
That’s the heart behind AdarenProduction. It’s not just production. It’s love for the art. Faith in the process. And a mission to deliver something real every time.

Darren, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I got into cinematography back in school after taking a Radio, Television, and Film class — and honestly, that class changed everything for me. I was drawn in by the creative freedom and the power of visual storytelling. Around that same time, I had some good friends making music, and I found myself wanting to shoot their music videos. I didn’t have all the equipment or experience back then, but I had the passion — and that was enough to get me started. From there, it just grew into something bigger.
Today, through AdarenProduction, I offer a wide range of services: music videos, events, documentaries, movies, weddings — you name it. I never put myself in a box because creativity shouldn’t have limits. If there’s a vision, I want to help bring it to life, no matter the style or format. That’s always been the heart of what I do.
What really sets AdarenProduction apart is the relationship we build with our clients. I’m not just showing up to shoot and leave — I’m showing up to partner with you. To really listen, to understand your vision, and to bring it to life in a way that’s authentic, powerful, and true to you. When you book with Adarenproduction, you’re getting someone who’s going to go the extra mile — not just because it’s my job, but because I care.
What I’m most proud of isn’t just the content I’ve created, but the people I’ve met and connected with throughout this journey. The knowledge that’s been shared, the creative partnerships, the lessons learned along the way — those moments mean everything to me. Every project is an opportunity to grow, to learn, and to leave something meaningful behind.
At the end of the day, I want people to know that AdarenProduction is built on passion, trust, and a deep love for the craft. This isn’t just about filming — it’s about creating something that lasts, something that speaks. If you can dream it, I’ll help you bring it to life.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding part of being an artist and creative is seeing something that once lived only in someone’s mind come to life — and knowing I played a part in making that happen. There’s nothing like taking an idea, a feeling, or a vision, and turning it into something real that people can see, feel, and connect with.
It’s also the reactions — when a client watches their project back for the first time and you can see it hit them emotionally, or when someone tells you that your work inspired them or helped tell their story in a way they never could on their own. That’s the kind of stuff that reminds me why I do what I do.
But honestly, beyond the final product, it’s the process that I love — the late nights, the problem-solving, the constant learning, the collaboration. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it. Every project teaches me something new and pushes me to grow as an artist and as a person.
Being creative has allowed me to build real connections, express myself, and help others express themselves, too. That’s the real reward — using this gift to make something meaningful, and sharing that experience with others along the way.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has honestly been building real, personal connections. I’ve always believed that word of mouth is powerful — and for me, it’s been everything. A lot of the opportunities I’ve had have come from people referring me after we worked together, or just from genuine conversations where I made a strong impression.
I make it a point to speak to everybody in the room — whether it’s a client, a friend of a client, someone on set, or just someone passing through. You never know who’s watching, listening, or looking for exactly what you offer. I don’t approach people with a sales pitch — I approach them as a person first. That energy carries, and people remember how you made them feel just as much as what you created.
Networking for me isn’t just about handing out cards or chasing gigs — it’s about showing up, being real, and letting my work and work ethic speak for itself. When people see that you’re passionate, dependable, and locked in on delivering quality, they’ll vouch for you. And those referrals have helped my business grow more than any ad ever could.
At the end of the day, I just stay consistent, stay present, and stay connected. The relationships I’ve built over time have opened doors I couldn’t have planned for — and I’m grateful for every one of them.
