We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Darla Wigley. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Darla below.
Darla, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So, let’s start with a hypothetical – what would you change about the educational system?
To better prepare students for what they face going into a makeup career in film and television the schools should teach organizational skills, efficient time management and color theory.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Does your business have multiple or supplementary revenue streams (like a ATM machine at a barbershop, etc)?
As my business grew just creating my prosthetics line for the film and television industry didn’t always keep us going. Branching out to the medical industry, health and safety such as fire departments, hospitals and the military for moulage training, the theater and haunt industry kept our little engine going and we continue to branch out to new areas such as the gaming industry with our company’s unique skill set, we find so many ways to teach and help our clints.

We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.
My confounder, business partner and Husband Terry Wigley is a key player in everything we do for our business. He is the contract maker, the payroll supervisor, IT, technical side of everything WigleyFX. He always said Darla she is the creative side, and I am the technical. I literally met him at the end of a sword When I became a member of an amazing live steel sword fighting team in Seattle Wa. He was my fight instructor. It’s been 26 years of fun an adventure for us both in our marriage and in our business and it just keeps getting better.
