We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Darius Scott a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Darius, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you share an important lesson you learned in a prior job that’s helped you in your career afterwards?
Everyone start somewhere you have to go through things in life to get stronger and better
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Darius Scott I’m originally from Farmville Virginia graduated high school in 2020 from Prince Edward. I started acting & modeling when I was in the 16 however, started taking it serious when I was 20 by collaborating with photographers going to modeling events & fashion shows in the area and creating my own short films. I promote fashion trends, influencing consumer behavior, and create visual narratives for advertising campaigns. What sets me apart from others is my versatility and my androgynous flair on the craft. I am most proud of my work ethic and my ability to not give up on my dreams. What I want people to know is that I am a Capricorn, I am the oldest of three children and I love to cook!
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Back in 2023 I submitted to almost 100 modeling agencies, and none of them responded did I give up? No, I kept going and I always will.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
TFP collaborations at first I would book with certain photographers and I would have to come out of pocket now that I know about TFP collaborations I don’t have to pay anymore.
