We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Darien Godelia. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Darien below.
Darien, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
As an artist, I aspire to be someone that a person can lean on. Using my art, words, and other means, I hope that I can have an impact on people’s thinking. If someone can understand that there are many perspectives to life then that makes communicating and socializing much easier for everyone. As for my legacy, I hope that I am not remember for my name but for the ideas I push forth.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I am photographer and videographer, but I am truly an artist at heart.
In a way, I got into this craft from a young age. I always had the support of my parents and I always had the drive to create things. I was an odd child, you would often find me watching documentaries or learning things about different cultures.
In high school I found myself lost but I rekindled my flame. 2020 pushed my psyche to a different understanding of myself. I began writing day and night and when I was back in school I drew for hours while my teachers taught class.
I picked up a camera to get a different perspective on making art and it truly did give me a new perspective on the world.
I then graduated with the class of 2022 and instantly started working on my craft. I did college for a semester but quickly understood it was not for me.
Since then I have continued my journey as a photographer, videographer and poet; meeting and working with models, musicians, and all sorts of creatives. I even started cultivating a community for creatives to network and create art called the Creators Den ran by a sub group called 1ODT (1 Over Da Top)
I am a creative director that looks to make art with anyone that has an intension of sharing their perspective.
I am most proud of the friendship and partnership I have with my team, 1ODT. A small group of artist (1:20, Oji, Darioo, and TLO) looking to share our music, literature, and help grow a community for people to come to.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
There is nothing specific, but the endless amount of hours I spent researching and questioning my thought is what truly drives my entrepreneurship. My philosophy derives from the thought of wanting to understand the countless perspectives in this world and wanting to have the open communication with those conflicting thoughts.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal as an artist is to build a sense of thinking that can help people understand the complexities that occupy the world, because we are only one of billions of people that have a perspective that is worth sharing.
