Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Darian Pinder. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Darian, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

The risk I’ve taken is becoming an entrepreneur through my music. (Dp Themusician) cultivated from my living room as a coping mechanism for the passing of my mother. It is sometimes surreal to me that people enjoy my talent enough to continuously book me for shows. My confidence is definitely not in question when it comes to my skill set but I am still dumbfounded sometimes by the reach and affect I have on my community through my gift/talent from God.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Dp The musician was founded in march of 2022. I was still heavily grieving for my mom that I unfortunately lost due to cancer at only 23 years old in my life and needed an outlet. My finances were not in order due to me recently burying my mom and trying to raise my younger brother (dillen) who’s now 13 years old and was 11 at the time. Which meant that I could not afford therapy so I used my violin as a form of therapy and a release mentally.

As a professional violinist I offer bookings for weddings, birthday parties, private events, baby shower’s etc. I enjoy helping make memories that last forever for my clients.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

A lesson I had to unlearn is to not be so emotional and sensitive about the dealings of people. I’ve had to gain the understanding that each individual is raised differently and has a different background than myself so listening to understand is my new approach for life especially with my business.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?

Some books that I have read are (The YouTube algorithm, How to identify dark manipulation and psychology, and the art of war.

All of these books have assisted in formulating my mindset into a business owner and influencer in today’s society. There are many more that I’ve read as well but these are the newest in my collection.
