We recently connected with Daphne Paras and have shared our conversation below.
Daphne , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
I had been in a loveless and sexless marriage for over a decade and had become very numb in many aspects of my life. In 2016, I had a spiritual awakening that completely shifted the trajectory of my path. I was given the guidance, of “harness your goddess” energy. I followed divine guidance and began studying divine feminine energy and began facilitating full day workshops to help women return to their authentic selves. As I opened up with these women to share my story, I realized that my superpower was my ability to be vulnerable. The deeper I went, the deeper the other women would go. Amazing and beautiful healing would take place. As I dove deeper into sexuality, I learned how most women have temporarily disconnected from their own bodies due to trauma. I started my mission to empower women through sexuality. Knowing their bodies better than anyone else, eliminating the shame around pleasure and normalizing the discussion around sexuality. I beleive we are each here with a unique gift to share with the world, and sometimes we need a bit of help navigating our way back to that space. When we each are in this authentic space, we can truly live our mission and make the world a better place!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I began my business as a Warrior Goddess Facilitator, guiding full-day workshops helping women return to their authentic selves.
I soon added in the spiritual practice of firewalking, where I lead a 2 hour workshop teaching people how to be fully present in their bodies, leaning into their fears, raising their energy, and then concluding with a 1800 degree bed of coals to walk across.
Sexuality became a large component of my workshops, as so many women were disconnected from this sacred source of energy. I learned how to help women identify where they have blockages and trauma, and pathways to heal. I invented a sacred self-pleasure tool to support women in their journey back to themselves, being able to explore their bodies and own their pleasure.
I added in sacred journeys to pyramids, where we use powerful energetic spaces to connect to deeper wisdom. Using my Totlec teachings and energetic vortexes to amplify the experience.
All of my teachings and tools help support the journey back to self. Our brain is an amazing master computer, but the magic happens when we are connected to our bodies.
Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?
I had the concept in mind for The Seeker. A friend of mine drew up a CAD drawing for it. It was important to me to have it manufactured in the US and as closeby as possible. I began gathering quotes from businesses within a two-hour radius. I balanced price, guarantee, and intuition with who I was going to work with. I went and met with a representative of the company, and we forged a path forward. The relationship is so important. I had quality issues with my first large batch and they reworked the product to my specifications. They also happen to be 11 minutes away, which feels amazing to support local businesses!
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
My personality type is the “controller” and “commander”. This can be very beneficial, and potentially catastrophic! As a business owner, it is so important to pivot to ensure the success and survival of your business. I have tried many new ideas and when they have hiccups, you have to use discernment to identify when to push ahead or to pivot and step back. I have learned to importance of flow and pivot, over and over again!
