We were lucky to catch up with Dany Wynters recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Dany , thanks for joining us today. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?

I have learn my craft by not only watching, but by trail and error. I have been fortunate enough to have great mentors as well, from my very humble beginnings with the Haus of Pu$$y to finding my place as a member of the Haus of Wynters. I could have speed up my learning process but engaging more, in every sense. The skills I found most essential are make up skills and sewing and the only obstacle has been myself. Only you can stop yourself from achieving your goals.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

For those who haven’t read my first interview, my stage name is Dany Wynters and I started performing during Covid. What may set me apart is probably my background, I have a very humble beginning and I’m known for my transparency and loving energy. I was thrusted into the industry and quickly fell in love with the performance aspect of the industry, then everything else followed suit. It’s such a complex industry, however my favorite thing/ what I’m most proud of is achieving a strong connection with my audiences.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Yes, my favorite saying lately is: “losing is the new winning”. Like many people, I have felt a lot of loss, both in my personal life and drag career however I have let that fuel my passion. It has only driven me more, and it shows.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding aspect of my industry is connecting with the audience. I love performing and I love it even more when the audience see it.
