We were lucky to catch up with Dante Lee recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Dante thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Triumph Victory Limitnone was created 3 years after I had dropped out of college and stopped playing basketball. After my first daughter was born, I had a lot of decisions to make. I was working a warehouse job, and had to think about the future along with what my purpose or passion was. Because of my life-long love for fashion, a clothing line was always in the back of my head. I wanted it to be more than a clothing line though. I wanted purpose with my brand, so creating a name was a very important factor. After reflecting on my life at the time, Triumph Victory Limitsnone was created.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Dante Lee, and I am the CEO of Triumph Victory Limitsnone (TVLN). TVLN is a clothing brand that was created in 2016 with the desire to bring people of all races, shapes, and sizes together as one with the realization that we are all created equal. A Triumph Victory is when you have been at a low point in your life, and mange to stand on top to become victorious over the situation. Limitsnone is a mental note that no matter how low you are, you have the ability to do anything and everything to get to the top. There are simply no limits to achieving greatness. Triumph Victory is more than an apparel line. It’s a way of life to be applied to your every day grind.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When Triumph Victory was first started, we had a open photoshoot for all people where posted on all social media platforms. From there, and til this day, if a customer posts wearing our merchandise we share the photo as well. To continue to grow our social media audience we are consistent with posting daily. Which is the only advice to any other business owners.. Stay consistent with posting, and it will all fall into place.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The biggest lesson I had to unlearn and accept was that the pricing of my merchandise could not be based on my customer’s satisfaction. I initially had lower prices because I wanted the sales, when in reality that was not benefiting my business. If people want to support and/or like the product, they will buy it regardless.
