We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Danny Posner. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Danny below.
Danny, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
I have done giveaways on my account to give back to my community. Last year, I did a giveaway for the restaurant Hay Hay Roasted in Chinatown and had 100’s of entries. It has built up my account a lot with more followers but also generated interest in the restaurant and the food. I built up the excitement by spinning a virtual wheel and they were so happy and grateful to get a free meal along with their friend.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started my food blog on Instagram over 3 years ago. I used to always post food stories on my personal Instagram and finally got convinced to make a separate food account. I love food and this account has meant so much to me. It started with just a dozen followers which were all my friends. I grew it through joining food groups all over the world and connecting with fellow foodies. Now, I’m at over 4,600 followers and growing more each day.
As my account has grown I started to do Food collaborations with brands and restaurants and that’s been so amazing. A lot of them are very small and really appreciate the exposure. I do posts and reels on my Instagram and I edit all my videos myself using CapCut.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
It hasn’t been a full career yet but I’d love that! I have gotten compensation from some restaurants and brands. My first ever collaboration was at an Indian restaurant called “Ambo” and it’s picked up from there. I remember being so excited doing it and also happy to film behind the scenes.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I’ve built my account by connecting with fellow foodies. It is as simple as that. I am building a community and interacting with people each day and vice versa. I love it! To build a community, you need to share, comment and like fellow foodies posts. You build connections through that and more!
