Danny, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump right into the heart of things. Outsiders often think businesses or industries have much larger profit margins than they actually do – the reason is that outsiders are often unaware of the biggest challenges to profitability in various industries – what’s the biggest challenge to profitability in your industry?

Despite having encountered several challenges along the way, I am beyond grateful to have experienced an opportunity to work with such diversity. Understanding my constant desire for perfectionism – it is time-consuming to transform a stock photo into a more visually appealing image. Photography has taught me that no matter how many countless videos you watch explaining how to achieve a particular look or style, you must get your hands dirty and experiment on your own until you get your desired look. With the love, support, and willingness to allow me to practice, my friends and family helped build my portfolio until I gained the confidence to work with strangers. Everyone must start somewhere, and I started out by offering free photography services to build my portfolio. The way you can stand out is by providing the best customer experience a person can ever ask for. You want to walk them through the process from A to Z as seamlessly as possible.

Danny, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I specialize in studio photography ranging from birthdays, graduations, and families to weddings and events. I am mainly known for my fun and memorable birthday and graduation sessions. I’m responsible for a lot of people’s profile pictures. The thing that I’m most proud of is being a part of my client’s family. When they come to me for a photo session, I’m their photographer for everything after that. That’s what separates me from others. I love what I do that it never feels like I’m working. It’s more like I’m just helping someone out. And I love that about my work.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

Two years ago, I decided to make a spontaneous purchase that I never knew would change my life. I purchased a camera and began learning how to use it, practicing taking photos and recording videos to occupy my time. I watched various tutorials about how to use editing software to bring my vision to life better. Surely enough, this process became a new favorite hobby. I discovered my new love for storytelling, being able to capture people’s expressions and emotions. My creative work soon captivated people on social media, and I started to receive requests regarding the services I offered. Inspired by my many bids, I started my own creative company, focusing primarily on weddings, lifestyle, and events. I firmly believe passion can only come from within; it’s the most critical component I bring to every shoot, as it allows me to capture the priceless moments in a person’s life.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.

As I expanded my hobby into a business that meets the economy’s demand, I began to specialize my work in weddings, portraiture, lifestyle, events, and corporate photography. I take exceptional pride in capturing the little, unforgettable moments from behind the lens and creating an impact with my work. My company has exceeded expectations regarding wedding films due to my flexibility and desire for perfectionism. In addition, I also have a full-time job that I consistently maintain from 9-5. The key is being organized and time management. I didn’t make my side hustle full-time because I want the best of both worlds. Being able to explore my passion but also be able to sustain and pay my bills. Essentially, my full-time job pays for my passion and side business.
