We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Danny McCrea a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Danny, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
The story behind what I do is that some people are not heard or seen, so through photographer and videographer im able to elevate those people. Whether that be through putting their beauty on display or giving those don’t have a voice a platform.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Danny McCrea and I starting videographer at my church first and then it moved to me using it to promote my business. Then photographer came along and learning the ins and out of social media. Fast forward a year or so and I do this full time with a few other individuals. We provide services to those that have an idea or vision but don’t know how to give it a voice or speak to their target audience. We do that for them through creative strategies, photography and videography. I’m most proud that im able to help people advance their career, vision and/or ideas. I would like them to know that the biggest room in the universe is room for improvement and if you’re looking to improve their quality, visuals or creativity to contact us and see if we can be of any service .
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I knew the power of collective collaboration. It literally is the driving force of my business and how we’re able to successfully assist our wide range of customers.
How did you build your audience on social media?
The secret to building a social media audience is first building your self awareness. This allows you to determine what your goal is and who your target audience is. And a lot of times your presence isn’t shown in your impressions or follows but in impact whether that’s when you post or in person when go out and people know who you are. It shows that you have an identity and it shouldn’t be taken lightly. Lastly I would say to be consistent at posting. Whether its posting twice a week or 5 days a week.
